Homemade Vitamin C Treats for Kids and Adults!

These refrigerated gummies make getting your daily vitamin C easy and delicious. The natural sweetness of grape juice makes it ideal for this recipe, but you can use other juices and experiment by adding a little honey or natural Stevia for the level of sweetness you want.


1 ¼ cups grape juice

6 TBSP plain gelatin

5 tsp. vitamin C powder

Set of 60 small silicone molds (lots of fun-shapes available) or one loaf pan

  • Pour one cup of grape juice into a small pan and heat until almost boiling.
  • In a glass bowl, add gelatin powder and hot juice and stir until dissolved.
  • Add remaining ¼ cup grape juice and combine.
  • Stir in vitamin C powder and blend well.
  • Pour mixture into silicone molds or loaf pan and refrigerate for several hours until gelatin is firm to the touch.
  • Remove from molds and store in refrigerator until ready to use. If using a loaf pan, insert a butter knife along the edges to loosen gelatin, then slide onto a plate. Cut into small squares with scissors, then store.

This recipe should give you around 60 gummies. Dole them out one at a time daily. Your kids will love them!
